Livengood's Barn, located in Northwest Illinois, is a unique way to celebrate
life's major events! With two renovated, climate controlled barns, and open
lawn with pond for outdoor weddings this site has everything
you are looking for in a rustic, intimate event.
THE BARNS
What started as a simple idea, has grown into an amazing experience. Here are the barns that host the friends and families celebrating each week.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN....
Livengood's Barn is located on 20 acres, nestled among pastures and rolling hills. The intimate property is home to three barns, two of which have been remodeled for special gatherings. The property for rent also includes a large open lawn area, and quaint pond with dock.
The downstairs of the Brown Barn includes a newly renovated bridal suite that is the perfect location to begin your wedding day! Private bathrooms are available on both stories of the barn.
THE OTHER BARN....
The Shed, adjacent to the brown barn, has become the perfect setting for a night of dinner and dancing. During July 2018, this barn was updated with new flooring, walls, vertical shiplap walls, doors and windows along with insulation throughout to accommodate heating and air conditioning as needed for events. This barn has been loved for its open feel and now the environment will be even more rich with temperature control.
The shed boasts twice the square footage of the upstairs of the barn, giving you plenty of room to party the night away!
BEAUTY EVERYWHERE....
The second level of the barn is adored for its simplicity and charm. All original beams and barn boards show through the second story, creating a jaw dropping backdrop for so many couples for their ceremony or an intimate first look. A large deck and elevator have been added, making the perfect inside-outside feel for every event for all of our guests.
LIVENGOOD'S BARN STORY
Ed and Kali Livengood have always loved sharing life's special moments with family and friends. Now, they are sharing their property for others to create those special moments as well.
In the fall of 2014, Ed and Kali were approached by family friends to host their wedding in the Barn. At the time, they thought it to be a crazy idea, but with a little planning, Livengood's Barn was born. Our first wedding was hosted on May 9, 2015.
At Livengood's Barn, it is our goal to provide our couples with a relaxed and beautiful wedding day. Our wedding packages are created to support you in planning your day with confidence!

THE OUTDOORS...
The outdoors at the Barn hold the same charm as the indoors. Our pond has become the perfect backdrop for so many couples, whether with a photo on the dock or during their wedding. A cabin, old truck and wooded areas also create many photograph opportunities right on the property! Your photographer will love sharing the day with you catching your perfect pictures at the Barn.
And while the daytime pictures are gorgeous, the country sunsets caught over the years are second to none in our wedding picture collections!
